Innovative learning platform
Together with TÜV NORD Akademie, we have created a centralized, automated learning platform that efficiently manages digital educational offerings and integrates seamlessly into existing systems.
Background
With 8,000 seminars and 80,000 participants per year, TÜV NORD Akademie GmbH & Co. KG is one of the leading providers of further education in Germany. The organizational management of the seminars is carried out through a variety of systems, each handling different data, including course information, participant data, certificates, and diplomas. With the pandemic-driven push for digitalization, TÜV NORD Akademie opened new business areas and expanded its offerings in the field of digital products. This made it necessary to fundamentally rethink the existing structures: Different systems with separate data sets led to an inconsistent overall picture. Therefore, the goal was to make internal processes more efficient and strategically further develop the digital learning environment for both internal teams and participants.
Project scope & objectives
The focus of the project was the design and implementation of an innovative, automated learning platform. The goal was to enable the central management of digital training formats and to fully automate the creation of courses, from course creation to participant onboarding.
Challenges
The complexity of the project primarily lay in the variety of different processes and data structures that needed to be mapped digitally and automated. The challenge was to efficiently process large volumes of data and seamlessly integrate the new components into the existing system landscape. From a UX/UI perspective, the task was also to design a user-friendly interface that would be intuitive for both administrators and participants.
Implementation and features
The implementation began with a detailed analysis of the existing processes, followed by their optimization, standardization, and visualization. Throughout the project, numerous systems were integrated, and interfaces were created, including:

A central element is the custom-developed AdminCockpit. This allows for automated management and enrichment of data from various systems and offers the following features:
Automated Course and User Management
Automated Email Dispatch
Automatic Generation of Certificates of Attendance
Management and Assignment of Learning Modules
In addition, a custom management portal for data enrichment was integrated, supporting the analysis and further processing of learning data.
Collaboration
The collaboration with TÜV NORD Akademie was partnership-based and on equal terms. We were not only responsible for the technical implementation but also supported the project strategically and with consulting. From idea generation and process analysis to the development of sustainable system architectures.
Outlook
The new learning platform forms the foundation for a long-term digital education strategy. Even after the project’s completion, we continue to support TÜV NORD Akademie in the further development of the platform, such as by integrating additional products and addressing new business areas.
